Pre-existing Condition Provisions of Health Care Reform to Take Effect
The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act provides a health coverage option for individuals who have been uninsured for at least six months, have a pre-existing condition, and have been denied coverage by a private insurance company. The program, which began May 31, provides coverage for individuals until 2014 when at that time, no one can be discriminated against based on a pre-existing condition.For more information please visit http://www.healthcare.gov/law/provisions/preexisting/about/index.html
